Casablanca, June 15, 2022… Casablanca Meat Processing Plants renews the HALAL Label and confirm the relevance of the development strategy deployed by Casablanca Prestations, manager of the public service, to strengthen the positioning of the Plants on the Moroccan & International Halal market.
Casablanca Processing Plants has just obtained a favorable judgement for the renewal of the Halal label certificate granted by the Moroccan Institute for Standardization (IMANOR) for the following products:
- Slaughtered sheep and cattle;
- Processed sheep and cattle;
- Tripe and offal of sheep and cattle;
- Ground meat;
- Preparation of products based on beef and sheep meat (ground steak and merguez).
The renewal of the Halal Label is a recognition of the commitment and respect by the processing plants for the provisions and requirements of the Moroccan standard NM 08.0.800 for Halal foods. The Halal label also demonstrates the plants’ respect for strict hygiene and food safety practices.
The Casablanca Processing Plants adhere to this approach by respecting the basic requirements that must be met at all stages of production including ingredients, preparation, packaging, labeling, storage, transport, control and associated services relating to Halal slaughter in accordance with Islamic rules.
To this end, this distinction reaffirms a national foundation at the Casablanca Meat Processing Plants which is recognized at the international level allowing the opening of our customers (whole sale meat traders, processing companies, and tourist chains …) toward various markets requiring products of Halal origin on both national and international levels.
