Casablanca, May 18, 2020… In an evolutionary approach, Casablanca Meat Processing Plants has just renewed the ISO 22000 certification and is now certified with version 2018 on top of getting ISO 9001 v2015 certified.
The red meat processing plants of the economic metropolis therefore remain the first and only public economic establishment at the national level to be ISO 22000 v2018 and ISO 9001 v2015 certified, for better service to the Moroccan consumer.
Casablanca Slaughter and Meat Processing Plants was certified ISO 22000 v2005 in 2017 and maintained this certification for three consecutive years until it obtained its new v2018 ISO certification.
This double certification testifies to the commitment of Casablanca Prestations, a local development corporation managing the establishment, in the continuous improvement of its procedures and services, in order to guarantee the health safety of its products, the quality of its services and its customers’ satisfaction. In fact, meat from an approved and certified slaughterhouse is produced under conditions of strict hygiene and health safety.
Through this double certification, Casablanca Meat Processing Plants ensures, first and foremost, the satisfaction of both users and end consumers. For consumers, the meat bears an approval number certifying its quality and international health safety recognition. It is also an opportunity for meat wholesale traders and other users to market their products throughout Morocco as well as for export.
Obtaining this dual certification is the crowning achievement of several months of work, during which all employees mobilized around a common objective that demonstrates their ability and commitment to provide high quality services to guarantee foot safety and meet the requirements of all interested parties.
In fact, Casablanca Prestations has set several objectives in response to three major challenges: to have a high-level processing plant approved by ONSSA (National Food Safety Agency), to monitor the health safety of this sector at the regional level and be a nationwide contributor, offering an attractive service in the fight against the illegal slaughter market.
Casablanca Prestations has thus chosen to integrate the ISO 9001 v2015 standard into the ISO 22000 food safety management system and thus obtain an Integrated Management System which is part of a quality approach whose calling is continuous improvement in the overall performance of the Casablanca processing plants and the orientation towards customer satisfaction and meeting the requirements of interested parties.

Casablanca Prestations is a local development corporation, created in December 2014, on the initiative of the local authorities of Casablanca. It is in charge of the development, management, support, monitoring and evaluation of local public service provision, within the framework of the projects entrusted to it. - Cattle/sheep slaughter capacity of around 45,000 tonnes per year;
- Stable capacity: 900 cattle and 5,000 sheep;
- 2 cattle slaughter lines with a capacity of 50 heads/hour;
- 2 sheep slaughter lines with a capacity of 300 heads/hour;
- Meat storage rooms with a capacity of 1,400 cattle and 5,000 sheep;
- Cutting room equipped, approved and certified ISO 22000 v2018 and ISO 9001 v2015.
